HILTEET

Resin
The drug Hilteet consists of oleo-gum-resin obtained from rhizomes and roots of Ferula assafoetida L.
(Apiaceae); a drug yielding plant is a perennial herb, occurring in Persia and Afghanistan; resin collected after making incisions at the upper part of tap root of more than five year old plants by scrapping in March, April just before flowering, whole process repeated many times; after one or two days or after a few weeks when it gets hardened.

Antiseptic (Dafi-e-Taffun), Diuretic (Muddir-e-Baul), Emmenagogue (Mudirr-e-Haiz).
Theraputic Use(s): Flatulence (Nafkh-e-Shikam), Delayed digestion(Zof-e-Hazm), Gastric
debility(Zof-e-Meda), Amnesia(Nisyan), Oliguria(Qillat-e-Baul), Hemiplegia(Falij), Facial
palsy(Laqwa).
Dose: 1 g.
